چکیده

Radiative (or far-field) energy replenishment for devices such as smartphones, laptops, robots, and small electric appliances paves the way to autonomous continuous functioning, thus bypassing need of operation interruptions, human maintenance activities, by wired transformers. In this work, we investigate feasibility using a properly engineered antenna array able deliver radiative power in during their normal unsupervised activity, whose locations are unknown. Both case single multiple needing addressed. A quantitative proof-of-concept study is carried out validate proposed approach. 3D scenario simulated within standard office environment. Different configurations investigated corresponding performances benchmarked against installation recharging antennas. Results confirm outstanding capability approach terms confinement maximization transfer. Finally, framework, also propose an efficient communication protocol that manage recharge demand given different operational rules.

Uplink Array Calibration via Far-Field Power Maximization

Uplink antenna arrays have the potential to greatly increase the Deep Space Network’s high-data-rate uplink capabilities as well as useful range, and to provide additional uplink signal power during critical spacecraft emergencies. While techniques for calibrating an array of receive antennas have been addressed previously, proven concepts for uplink array calibration have yet to be demonstrate...

Optimization of Near-Field Wireless Power Transfer Using Evolutionary Strategies

The parameter space for power transfer by nearfield, magnetically coupled, half wavelength coil resonators was explored by evolving the coil shape using an evolutionary strategy and method of moments antenna analysis. The starting coil shapes were solenoid, which were evolved to enhance the power transfer between multiple coils. Through the use of an appropriate fitness function and tuned searc...

Gyrotron Internal Mode Converter Reflector Shaping from Measured Field Intensity

We present the formulation and experimental results of a new approach to designing internal mode converter reflectors for high-power gyrotrons. The method employs a numerical phase retrieval algorithm that reconstructs the field in the mode converter from intensity measurements, thus accounting for the true field structure in shaping the beam-forming reflectors. An outline for designing a four-...
